Angus and the U/10 Lauderdale Bombers in Tassie

Former resident Swannie, Rick Gaffney, who now  lives in Tassie, has emailed with an update on the footy career of his son, Angus. Angus used to be involved in the Saigon Auskick program.

Angus has been playing for the Lauderdale Bombers U/10s in the Southern Tasmanian Junior Football League.

Angus enjoys playing in the ruck or forward line but they get moved to all positions during the game.

Last weekend we headed off in 2 degrees chilliness to the game but once out on the field, they don’t notice it.

I have been relegated to goal umpire which is OK with a beanie on and gloves.

From all the Swannies, good luck Angus with your footy.

And, hopefully, the next club your Dad sends you to will have better jumpers. In the meantime, the rest of us hope that it never gets any warmer than 2 degrees when your Dad is goal umpiring…
