Swannies make it to Semis; Dragons win Champs

The Swannies prepare to line up for the National Anthems at yesterday’s Aisan Championships in Thailand.
The Hong Kong Dragons have won the 2012 Asian Championships Cup in Thailand yesterday.
The Dragons met the Swannies in the semi final. And although we gave them a serious challenge, they came up trumps. They then beat the Jakarta Bintangs in a gruelling, war of attrtionm Grand Final.
Swannies started teh day beatiing the Singapore Wombats. We lost to Thailand. Then beat the Philippine Eagles and the Malaysian Warriors. The Malaysian Warriors game was a rivetting match. Scores were even at half time. In teh second half, the Swannies kicked a point to put us in front – and that was the only score of the half.
All Asia Awards for the Swannies, in alphabetical order, went to Like “Dukesy” Creamer, Mega Brett Jotta and Adrian “Ado” Enright.
Yesterday’s effort was easily the Swannies’ most impressive performance at an Asian Champs to date.
