La Vie Water sponsors next match

La Vie Water sponsors next match

Next Saturday, 25 October 2008, we will play the Malaysian Warriors for the Linfox - Loscam Cup in Saigon.

The weather is hot in Saigon at the moment. Conditions will be tough for the players.

Enter La Vie Water!

Thanks to a multi-litre deal that was finalised this afternoon between the Vietnam Swans and La Vie, all players and officials will be properly hydrated during the Linfox – Loscam Cup. La Vie will be our Official Supplier of Water products.

La Vie is one of the strongest brands in Vietnam. Established in 1992, La Vie is 65 per cent owned by the world’s leading company in bottled water, Nestle Water.

The Vietnam Swans are very proud to have the sponsorship support of La Vie for Saturday’s match. The players from both Vietnam – and our visitors, the Malaysian Warriors - are extremely appreciative for La Vie’s support.

The AFL spotlight on international football opportunities

Posted by Vietnam Swans on February 12, 2008

International football in the spotlightThe AFL spotlight of Saturday’s AFL match in Dubai between Collingwood and Adelaide has lots of people talking.

All this talk is a far cry from the lead up to last year’s Asian Championships when the AFL Footy Record refused to make reference to the Champs because, unfortunately, “it kind of goes outside the scope of what we do“. The Swans’ President wrote to the Footy Record at the time to express his disappointment and to detail some ideas about the broader opportunities of using Australia’s signature sport to promote not just footy, but events and organisations with a link to Australia (see Aussie Rules undervalued overseas).

If you’ve ever checked World Footy News’ Footy Atlas, you will see just how many volunteer footy clubs already exist around the world. There’s a lot of energy out there.

Jim Beam does it again

Posted by Vietnam Swans on October 7, 2007

AB and the SwanettesThose Red & White Angels, the Swanettes (also known as the Jim Beam Party Crew), made a welcome return to JASPAS in Hanoi last week for the Grand Final. Jim Beam, a Gold Sponsor for the day gave us 37 x 750ml bottles to distribute to the crowd.

And so, the Swanettes wandered through the crowd randomly asking people to name our Sponsors – whose names were written on the banners hung around the room. How easy was that??

Also, coming from JB’s sponsorship of the Swans for the Asian Champs, we gave away 2 x 4.5 mega litre bottles of JB as prizes for various competitions.

Jim Beam and the Swanettes were a definite hit and a real crowd teaser, ah, pleaser.

Tracey and the SwanettesMeanwhile, training resumed in Saigon yesterday in preparation for the triple header on 17 November between Vietnam, Thailand and Laos. And, surprising a few, a box full of 375ml Jim Beams appeared and were duly distributed to those who had toured to Bangkok for the Champs. The half bottles were part of Jim Beam’s original sponsorship.

Gotta be very happy with that.
