The Vietnam Swans 2013 AFL Grand Final Parties are coming to Saigon and Hanoi. This promo poster will appear in the September issue of the Word magazine.
The Vietnam Swans 2013 AFL Grand Final Party, Hanoi. The People’s AFL Grand Final Party, will be held at:

The event kicks off from 10am on Saturday 28 September, and we look forward to seeing you there.

I was in Hanoi in late March for the first AFL match of the season. If you walk the long road from the town to the beach, go to the last cafe on the left before you cross the road to the beach. It was showing the Australian Network and we watched Freo beat Geelong. Yay!

Personally, I’d go to Le Pub in the Old Quarter (address above). Much more down to earth, almost certainly cheaper, and you’ll find fellow Aussies there. I watched Freo lose to Adelaide there last Friday (sob!) and had a great evening, except for the result.

Teresa, if you’re still in town, you can also go to Le Pub at 25 Hàng Bè, Lý Thái Tổ, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
There’s a big flat screen at the back, and they’ll put AFL on the Australia Network if you ask, unless someone has asked to watch the Icelandic tricycle championships (eastern zone). It happens.
