This year for the first time in history we will play home and away ANZAC games against the Thailand Tigers! With ANZAC falling midweek the Swans and Tigers have come together to create a mega home and away series at both historical game spots – Kanchanaburi the site of the Burma Death Railway in World War 2 and Vung Tau the home base of many Australian soldiers during the Vietnam war and remains home to many Aussie Veterans and of course our own Vietnamese hosts.
The Swans got inspiration for what is now our biggest day of the season from the Tigers to combining these 2 momentous events is something else! Players and non players get on board for the back to back ANZAC Classics!
When: 21st April games should start around midday.
Where: Kanchanaburi (1.5 hours North-West of Bangkok) – best to fly into DMK airport.
Accomodation: we will stay at the resort Thailand organize. No need to book but need to get on the form with your preference for shared or single rooming. It’s about $60-70 a night so not bad if shared or solo if you choose. Great resort and great pool on the River Kwai!!!
