Garry Ablett Jnr wears his Swannies hat, this week in Papua New Guinea with Swannie and AFL PNG Director, Kev Dacey.
This week, former Trade Commissioner to Vietnam and Swannie, Kev Dacey (who is now the Trade Commissioner and an AFL PNG Director, in Port Moresby), happened to bump into one Garry Ablett Jnr, reigning Brownlow Medalist…

Below is Kev’s report.
Gary Ablett was in Port Moresby this week on a private trip with his brother Nathan.
He did not want any AFL publicity but was happy to support AFL PNG at a sponsors’ evening which we held at my house.
Gary kindly agreed to don the Swans cap and autograph my Sherrin which was signed by another Brownlow Medallist, Simon Black, at the Asian Champs in Shanghai in 2010 (when the AFL also put on an exhibition match between the Brisbane Lions and Melbourne Demons).
Not sure this footy will ever be kicked in anger!
Thank you very much to Kev Dacey and Garry Ablett Jnr! From all the Vietnam Swans, this gesture is very much appreciated!
