President of the , Chris “Pago” Paget, writes to the Vietnam Swans to congratulate the team for their victory on the weekend at the 2nd Touch Rugby World Cup.
I would like to congratulate the Vietnam Swans on their sensational effort on Saturday at RMIT. The team was fantastic in their first touch tournament as a Club and I hope they all had a good time. The team were a credit to your Club, and I hope they will be able to come back and defend their title when we host another event around April 2011.
The Jon Ellwood Memorial Trophy is a very special trophy for the Saigon Rugby Club, and the Vietnam Swans thoroughly deserved the win.
Please keep the trophy at whatever location you choose until we need it again next year.
