Former National and Saigon Treasurer for the Swannies, Danny Armstrong, was the man who established the Commonwealth Bank in Vietnam. Often, he would dryly and impartially observe:
“Son, there are two types of banks: shite banks and Commonwealth Banks”.
The Vietnam Swans concur.
Not only is the Commonwealth Bank a Major Sponsor of the Swannnies, it has also given us a new National Treasurer, Rowan Luke, as well as a Saigon Secretary, Ross Munn the Gunn.
