This is awesomeness: Commonwealth Bank sells Swannies’ 2012 AFL Grand Final tickets!

Posted by Vietnam Swans on September 14, 2012

Grand Final Tickets on sale at the Commonwealth Bank. Left (third from left), Danny Armstrong celebrates after a victorious Indochina Cup in Saigon 2010.

Former National and Saigon Treasurer for the Swannies, Danny Armstrong, was the man who established the Commonwealth Bank in Vietnam. Often, he would dryly and impartially observe:

“Son, there are two types of banks: shite banks and Commonwealth Banks”.

The Vietnam Swans concur.

Not only is the Commonwealth Bank a Major Sponsor of the Swannnies, it has also given us a new National Treasurer, Rowan Luke, as well as a Saigon Secretary, Ross Munn the Gunn.

But it just keeps getting better. Now if you walk past the Commonwealth Bank at 65 Nguyen Du Street, D1, HCMC, you’ve gone too far.

Stop. Then turn and look at the Commonwealth Bank’s front windows. You’ll see that they’re covered in Swannies’ 2012 AFL Grand Final Party posters. Now, walk inside the Bank because, there, you can buy your tickets to the Swannies’ 2012 AFL Grand Final Party from one of the ever helpful, ever courteous, ever professional staff.

Further evidence of awesomeness.

Tickets are also available at the Boomarang Bistro and Austrade Office. Click here for full details. (For details re the Swannies’ Hanoi’s Grand Final, click here).
