The Royal Australian Corps of Signals Vietnam will hold a reunion in Vietnam in November. A footy match has been proposed for the weekend that the Veterans are in Vung Tau.

The in Vietnam from 5 - 12 November 2009.

Gregg Dickson, Chairman of the Organising Committee says that several hundred “former, current and attached members of the Royal Australian Corp of Signals and their families” are expected to attend.

The reunion will take them to Saigon, My Tho, Cu Chi, Vung Tau, Nui Dat, Long Tan and Long Hai.

On Saturday 7 November, the veterans will be in Vung Tau which raises the possibility of the Vietnam Swans playing an international match. The venue for the match would be the Vung Tau race track.

In February of last year, the Vietnam Swans had a “Boot Camp” training weekend in Vung Tau. We trained on the soccer pitch inside the dog race track (see photos above). See the for more photos.

To play a match on the weekend that the Veterans were in Vung Tau would be amazing. The Blog shall keep you updated as to whether we can turn the idea into a confirmed event.
