Saigon President’s update – and it’s about the Champs!

Posted by Vietnam Swans on August 5, 2011

Dezza guards the trophies after last year's Indochina Cup win - in a Bali Geckos shirt!

The update from the Saigon Prez, Dez – just one week before the Asian Champs…

Another great turnout on Wednesday night and I am hoping to see all of you tomorrow at RMIT for our last Saturday run before the Champs. We will be holding a practice match tomorrow which will be an essential part of our preparation and so anyone going to the Champs needs to be available. We will be trying to simulate the match conditions we expect to see in Bangkok and will have the full field set up with umpires.

Please make sure you are at RMIT by 2.15 pm tomorrow so we can get organized and be ready to start at 2.30pm sharp. We want to maximize our time slot so try not to be late this week!

Also, Rowan the Treasurer will be at training tomorrow to collect the payments for accommodation in Bangkok. Please make sure that you bring your money as we do not want to be chasing people up.

Sam Conroy will also be bringing along jumpers and playing kit so if you are missing anything this is your chance to get it sorted out.

After training we have booked out the upstairs room at the Tavern and would like everyone to come down for a team bonding session. We are also planning on showing a Swannies Promo DVD which has been put together by Matt Natalotto.

The count down has started guys, only 7 days until we kick off our first match of the 2011 Asian Champs. We have a fantastic chance to make this the best tournament the Swans have ever had. Lets make every post a winner from here on in.
