A view of the Swans from above

Posted by Vietnam Swans on July 17, 2007

Perched in a stand high above the ground on Saturday were the Australian Ambassador to Thailand, Bill Patterson and Thailand Tiger’s President, Ryan “Rhino” Collett.

In an email just received from Rhino, he has written:

It was great that (the Swans) could be part of the Champs.

The spirit of your team is what the Champs is all about. In particular I enjoyed watching from the stands, with the ambassador, the skulling going on from the Swans before the presentations. For people who didn’t know the final results, they would’ve sworn that the Swans were the winners.

I look forward to catching up with the Swans later in the year.

We still on for 17th November (for a Vietnam Swans Vs Thailand Tigers match in Hanoi)? We are keen to get over there.

Rhino, you and your Tiger mates are locked in! You can bring that right on.

ESPN to screen segment on Champs

ESPN

The Thailand Tigers have just advised that ESPN’s Sportscenter will screen a segment on the Asian Champs tonight.

Check your local guides for details and see if you can master the fine art of making sense of times on satellite TV.

Congratulations to Wayne “Bubbles” Tinlin!

Posted by Vietnam Swans on July 17, 2007

The Swans’ favourite son, Wayne “Bubbles” Tinlin has just announced the birth of his own son, Alexander Thang Long Tinlin!

Bubbles says Alexander is strong and fit weighing in at 4.1 kgs.

The Match Committee of Micky J and Super Sav, seen in the photo above with Bubbles soon after the birth, are still trying to find out Alexander’s height.

The Vietnam Swans wish son, mother and father the very best.

And Pago, as Fine Master, perhaps you should waive Bubbles’ fine for not turning up on tour with the excuse that his lovely wife was about to give birth.
